This is my part of the art trade with Nalatos [link] at y! ^__^
its her lovely drows Welvarin (a weaponmaster) and Zail (a student, his skintone is lighter because his father is "an essence", kind of, making him... uh... half drow, kind of )
I loved to paint this... the haaaair, wheee ^^
The pic is once again so huge that you cant really see the details on their faces (which I love) so I made a bigger pic of the face which can be seen here: [link]

drawn with black pen and ink, scanned and coloured in OC. Took about 6-7 hours.
actually I tried to look at references while sketching this, but nothing was really working, so this just came to my mind... it might be that your pic was in my subconscious while sketching it
the hair... is drawn strand by strand, took about two hours to paint

Ah, the hair is truly wonderful! That has to be the finest hair I've seen you draw, this far; because I'm sure we'll soon see more of it
Every single strand of hair is just... simply perfection. Really beautiful. I love the purple hues you've used in this picture; it creates such a wonderful atmosphere for the two of them. It really looks like they are in love. And the skin tones on Welvarin are just uber smexy! Somehow I adore his visible arm, something about it... You've really progressed when it comes to anatomy, your practising seem to pay off, because they are both very well proportioned. To finish off this comment, I merely have to add that the frame you have around the picture looks very good, very effective that it is in same colour as the picture itself, only in a different hue and texture. But still, the most beautiful thing is still the hair .... just... so darned sexy! I swear... God.... I've always loved white hair, but I don't think I've seen white hair so well drawn as this. I mean it...
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
