The boy was not supposed to go into the forest, they had told him not to do it for a dozen times. And that was why he found himself exactly there, in the dark and daunting forest. it had been calling for him and he could not fight it, he had to go.
Immediately he knew he should have listened to them, this place held some frightening secrets in it and he didn't want to know them anymore. He hurried along the bath, running so fast his breath grew heavy.
The nocturnal sounds of the forest were giving him chills and he didn't dare to look behind, being completely sure someone was watching him, following him, he could sense it and he was so frightened he was about to fall over.

He was right.

There was a mysterious, menacing figure behind him, hidden into the darkness, watching quietly as the boy ran away.
But he wouldn't get away. He had come to this forest because it was time. Of course the boy didn't know it, but his fate was already sealed.

This was the night when the vampire Sajore would be born.

Yay, the first ever picture of the young Sajore, when he was just a boy.
His parents were both vampire's, but he was raised by humans in a small village, unaware of his vampiric blood.
Until this night, when he was beckoned into the forest and the ancient demon Armaros was summoned into his body while his father turned him into a vampire.
We all know the rest ;D

This is also the first picture of Sajore's father, though we can't see him very clearly. I'm sure I will be drawing him more later because... well, I won't tell why yet

I'm so happy about Sajore's face in this. He really looks so young and innocent. And scared, or at least worried. ^^ You can clearly see how much he has changed, but still, like all vampire's, his appearance has stayed the same for 3000 years.

The background is a collection of strange painting tests (I painted about 10 forests there but was happy with none of them), several textures and selfmade brushes ^^
The whole thing took about 12 hours to paint.
