So, my poll ([link]) wasn't all for nothing after all.

Thank you for everyone who voted in it, it was really interesting to see the results and get so many good tips where to find more cool vampires.

During the poll I made a list of my own favourites and just started to draw them. And then there was talk about the Twilight vampires and this was born.
I've read all the Twilight books and seen the two movies. They are, uh... entertaining, but the vampires; well, they are not vampires.

Please see the high res view so you can see the details and explanations and stuff. The texts are quoted from wikipedia and other internet sources.

And this is just MY vampire top 9 (and a fairy), I'm not trying to say that these are the best vamps in the world. Just best in my books. ^___^ I put them in an alphabetical order because I really cannot say which one of them I like the most. If someone does not know some of these guys, you can ask me about them... and I truly recommend the books, movies, series, anime & manga they are from.

... And just as a btw, I cannot stand Edward (as a vampire. As a fairy he's cute and sparkly though a little too grumpy for my taste XP). I'm sorry if that insults someone. (I love Jakob though.)

Edward is NOT a fairy. Fairies are beautiful, powerful, mythological beings. Edward is nowhere near good enough to be a fae. None of the fantasy creatures want him
